Tease & Tisane

"It appears we've reached an impasse most curious."

In your eyes

  • Name: Siroh'a Relanah (Sea-Roe-Ah) (si-roʊ-ɑ)

  • Race: Keeper of the Moon

  • Body Type: Lithe; Dancer-Like. Surprisingly muscular, but obviously inefficient.

  • Scars: None.

  • The pale-white Keeper before you can best be described as 'taken care of'. Well-primmed, manicured, and clean, he is the sort of individual that has the time and ability to take care of his appearance, but perplexingly, doesn't delve into the narcissistic. If anything, he's quite low-impact in social circumstances; silken locks and smooth, soft skin go largely unnoticed until the time is taken to meet with him up close where, often, a tempered eccentricity is the first element on display.

  • Typically without weapons, save for a seldom-seen belt knife, the Keeper is largely found in the cities of Eorzea plying either of his crafts, or simply people-watching as he is prone to do-- But, to think him a wallflower is folly.

  • Those who engage with him find a pensive conversation partner. Those who interest him in particular find an unerringly curious, sweet individual keen on hearing the stories that said person of interest might tell. It's a simple thing to attract his attention. Keeping it, on the other hand, is much more difficult.

In His Eyes

Wanderer, Storyteller, Whore.

He'll be the first to tell you each of those three descriptors, often for the shock value of it all.
A consummate storyteller and socialite, this Miqo'te will give just about anyone the attention they seek, though the degree of which is variable. He is a creature of keen interest that gives off the impression that he's been far-too many places, in far-too short a time, often through the lens of literature and experienced culture. To seem unique is an easy way to draw his attention, but don't be too surprised when it fades as quick as the turning wind.
He is nothing if not capricious.
To those he meets, he is practically always friendly and open and more than willing to engage with people from all walks of life. To those who buy his services, people often find a surprisingly doting Companion with a focus on working with those with anxieties and quieter personalities.
There is nothing more valuable than a connection made in earnest.
Even if they're to be as fleeting as the passing night.

In their eyes

  • Occupation: Companion & Storyteller.

  • Residence: Varies. Most often, the Veiled Star or a less remote hideaway in Ul'dah.

  • Sexual Orientation: Pansexual. (Not interested in Hrothgar or Male Roe).

  • Relationship Status: Hierarchical Polyamory // Open; Not actively seeking new partners.

Hooks

Common Hooks

  • Strike up a Conversation: Hardly a hook and more of a suggestion! You'll find that, if he's out in the wild, he's more than willing to engage just about anyone for however long they desire-- Though, this can certainly be a bit nebulous; especially if the characters don't end up hitting it off. Consider this an improvised hook, as I'll probably look to contact something on the spot to help us along.

  • Buying his Services: He is a whore, and he can certainly act like it. If you're interested in buying time with him I won't accept your actual in-game gil (exceptions apply) if we're just using this as a convenient crutch, but I'd be more than willing to entertain such a scene if this is what your character would err toward. Though, I would note that such services need not be explicitly sexualized, and companionship to the wealthy is well within his expertise.

  • Recognition by Public Face: Your character is welcome to recognize him as a semi-regular performer or socialite. It wouldn't be the first time, even if his "fame" is very limited. Keepers aren't exactly the most common creatures, and given that he primarily indulges in those social calls in Ul'dah and Ishgard, that may just be enough for your character to have an in.

Uncommon Hooks

  • Performance: He can sometimes be seen in and around Gridania and Ul'dah plying his usual craft-- Storytelling and performance. To step in on such a performance and grab his attention afterwards would certainly not be unheard of, and I'd be more than willing to work in the tail end of something small to play off of.

  • Recognition by Industry: As a courtesan, he's worked for quite some time, both as an individual, and recently as a supporter of others either in said business, or who may need a moment's rest. This is less common because he tends to ply that trade in his own spaces, and such encounters may well be curated. This may limit this hook as most will be able to point out what he does (he's not shy about it), but less so who he is. That said, to a prospective client, he has a potent reputation in some circles, while to others in his line of work, he may just be familiar.

  • A Helping Hand: While not a philanthropist, by any stretch of the imagination, Siroh'a is someone who believes wholeheartedly in fateful chance. If someone who needs a touch of assistance falls into his lap, he's likely to act on it if circumstance allows. What he lacks in strength of arms or influence, he can make up for in empathy, spiriting someone in need away to hide in his little part of the Shroud. He has a particular soft-spot for people in his own line of work, but people running from circumstance may well find a few nights in a safe house to be all the difference they need in changing their immediate fate.

  • The Veiled Star: His own enterprise is what he's best associated with. A remote brothel, better described as a sanctuary, is where he and a number of other people of his profession make their home. Identified through their distinct lotus symbol frequently paired with an elegant vellum invitation, the Star is far from a household name by design. Still, it has an uncanny way of letting the people who desire the peace and tender presence it cultivates through its doors. If this is something you're interested in, I would recommend letting me know so that we can work out the finer points as, in the best case scenario, there is a sense of mystery and fey-like wonder to it all.

Rare Hooks

  • A Person from the Past: While this requires OOC consent and discussion, I'm more than willing to sometimes have a character know Siroh'a from some point in the past. He's traveled far and wide, and it wouldn't be out of the ordinary to have people turn up from who-knows-where. Consider this a blanket invitation to collaboratively form some sort of tie, whether that be circumstantial or meaningful, in our backstories.

  • Shady Connections: While he's certainly not renowned in this space, Siroh'a has dipped his toes into activities that could be considered grey, and has contacts in both Ul'dah and Kugane, primarily. Being associated with the proverbial underground in either of those cities might have you knowing him by reputation as a not-too-shabby information broker, and even a reasonable fixer who can bring such grey clientele together.

OOC

E | M | RP - Para / Mirror - 18+ - WU/T - Balmung

  • Hi there! I'm Ventii. I'm a relatively seasoned RPer from a few different games, MMOs and otherwise, who's been at this for a little over a decade now. I'm open to, and highly encourage, communication before setting a scene as I'll be happy to help come up with a hook or otherwise-- Chances are, I've already got something brewing if we've taken note of one another!

  • So, as is noted above, all persons interacting with this character are required to be 18+ // This is simply for my own comfort, and for the fact that this character tends to delve into more mature themes. While the majority of RP is very much safe and sanitary, it's hard to avoid at least mentioning erotic elements when it's so baked into the character as a whole. Please respect this.

  • OOC communication is a must! This is simply due to the subject matter that the character broaches. While I'm happy for no-nonsense walk-up, anything continuing or long-term really isn't all that comfortable unless I know the person behind the screen at least to some extent. This sounds common sense, because it is, but for those looking for a fully-immersive experience in which OOC communication does not happen whatsoever, I would respectfully ask that you do not interact looking for anything meaningful.

  • This is obviously an ERP aligned toon, even if he is not an ERP toon. Such walk-ups are completely and totally acceptable, but are best discussed before-hand. Treating him as meat ICly is a sure way to not get what you're looking for.

  • My RP style trends toward multi-para most times, with an average post time of 2-8 minutes or so depending on length. I'll always try to match my partners, so this will head down or up depending on what we're aiming for.

  • My schedule fills up quick! If you find me standing out in public, I'm probably available at that moment (or just AFK while I do other things), but sometimes I can get booked solid for scenes before the week even begins. Attention may vary. It's not you, it's me.

  • Discord RP available upon request!

Relationships

A journal to the recollection of the Mind's Eye; chaotic as a storm

Below is a list of the most notable people he's met in no particular order. The trick is, none of them have a name attached. Did you make an impression? The list will constantly evolve and change, and it's nowhere close to all-inclusive.

  • "As the only person stubborn enough to remain with me for quite so long, it's easy to see how you've earned my trust. Some may see you as nothing but a simply pleasure, but we both know better, don't we? I'm content to keep that side of you all to myself. Unto the end, we'll dance beneath her light, for I couldn't find a better partner if I tried."

  • "For all the places I've been and people I've met, few can I say are some melding of to and fro. At once, you're like no one else, content to wander like a foreigner, wearing your home on your sleeve, with a giant pseudo-dragon to accompany you-- and yet, at times, you're more acclimated to greater society than the rest of us. I just hope I'm truly giving you what you need."

  • "You are... Strange, aren't you? I -should- feel poorly toward you and the things you've built; I should probably hate what you represent, and the things you've done, but... I can't decide whether it's cowardice, or mercy, or some gesture of empathy, but I just can't detest you. No, you represent not some grand apologetic gesture, nor a rejection of what -was-, rather, I think you've always simply been -you-. I find that beautiful in a way I cannot put to words. Talking with you is like listening to opera in a language I lack, instead left to follow leitmotif to some sort of vague understanding. And yet, in those moments, there's nowhere I'd rather be, and no other smile I'd rather indulge in. Your passion is infectious, and you will ever transcend the bonds of circumstance."

  • "How did you earn your title? How are you still alive? I question how you can tie your laces in the morning, let alone persist in what must be a veritable cacophony of responsibility, bludgeoning you down all at once. Constantly. Is there something I'm missing, or have you learned to delegate? I just don't know. I also don't understand the obsession with lobster of all things-- No one should be -that- food driven, as much as I respect a single-minded focus..."

  • "Nobleman of Ishgard, it has been quite some time. Your candor was some of the most refreshing, once upon a time. You approached the situation at hand from a place of logic, and I think, of all that rag-tag band of do-gooders, you and I were the ones to understand the approach first and foremost. A part of me wonders just what happened to you; what put you in the position of playing the same notes as someone like me, with a legacy like that. Does your shadow scare you, I wonder? Is it heavy on your shoulders? I'd never ask it, of course, but I look forward to the chance to hear it nonetheless."

  • "You and your sister both are fish out of water, and you embrace that. Wholly and completely. It's not even that you -had- to run, I gather, and nor is it a story of particular desperation. You just simply... Followed a whim, and chose to drown in that idea. I'd call you foolish for inviting those looks, and the certain jeers across dinner tables, if I weren't doing the same myself. We get the same perverse pleasure from watching them squirm, don't we?-- Well, no. Maybe not the same. Yours is far more pure than mine own."

  • "Fearsome hunter; pleasant partner. Not words I thought I'd slap onto someone like you, but on reflection, I suppose it is the Shroud's sense of humor that created our particular situation. There's something about you that I can't help but pick at, like some knot of gnarled, sinuous rope dangled just out of reach. It's made of questions, spoken only in the expressions you wear when you think I'm not looking. On one hand, I'm something you drink to forget, and yet, I cause you such sorrow-- don't I? Ah, well. You know well my door will always be open, and I'm not averse to this arrangement. Better or worse."

  • "Rare is the moment that a bard meets the subject of a song before it's been conceived. It's a rapturous, if subtle thing; something that, I suppose, is informed by a creative's own senses. It's nothing explicit, save for some internal chord struck upon basking in their presence, as if a new sun stands next to you. At times it's overwhelming; something to throw a hand up over your eyes and squint. At others it's a soft, keen warmth that inspires the people around them to follow. Both are you. I know not how your story will unfold, my friend. I know not the many parts, the triumphs, or the pitfalls therein, but I know for certain: I will sing your story someday, and you will be remembered with fondness in every note."

  • "You are a strange creature, aren't you? On one hand, you're nothing if not pleasant in terms of conversation, but your favor feels half-hearted. You've an odd candor, and what you claim to be is perplexing at times. 'Ill at ease', is the phrase I'd use-- and yet, I can also see that whatever you're expressing is legitimate. I've a feeling you'll remain an enigma to me, and I can't say I'm particularly inclined to change that reality."

  • "My old friend. At one point in time, I'd have called you my sister without a word or second thought. You are, and have ever been, important to me. I think we both know, to some degree, that our lives are bound to the acts we perform, and while we've long since diverged from one another, I look forward to when we find ourselves beneath the same moonlight once again. It's been a long time since I've danced in earnest. I'll admit that it's just not the same without your step."

  • "Curious creature all wrought in curious tidings. At one point, I would've said that, without a doubt, you were the single strangest person I had ever met. Your story is absurd. A child's poetry all wrought in pseudo-heresy, and anecdotes that feel like fiction, but I think you've proven you're a touch more than just a curiosity. I'm happy to know you, and while I don't truly believe I'll ever be able to fully understand the person you are-- such are the worlds of difference betwixt --it doesn't stop me from wanting to watch. Unlike her, no one will sing your song, my friend; yet, I think I'll write it nonetheless."

  • "I'd have called you a weary wanderer, had you fit any more than half of that title. You've come quite so far, and have abandoned -quite- so much in the pursuit of something that I'm not even sure you fully grasp the meaning of. You live your life as if it were a game where the player with the most sudden, hedonistic pursuit wins. I can't imagine what brought you to that point, but if there is such a game, you're certainly winning it. I'm pleased to know you, though I would ask the person that unbound you from your fate quite so handily just what they saw in you. Not to say you aren't remarkable, but I'd be lying if I said it didn't feel like the kami's sense of humor."

  • "I miss you. I miss you terribly. It's not even a yearning, I don't think. No, no. It's guilt. I know it's guilt. I know what you did, I saw what you did-- for me, for her --and how could I forgive myself for it? Maybe, a part of me is being unfair. I know it is. You made your choice, it's your nature to do so, I didn't have a pistol to your head, or a knife to your heart, but you made the choice nonetheless. You could've been safe and content, and now... I'm not sure I want to see what's left of you. Nevertheless, I'll keep your home safe, and there will ever be tea steeped in anticipation of your return. It's the least I can do. It's all I can do."

  • "Genius is a beautiful thing to watch. Mostly. You're a creature that delights in her quirky nature, and anyone looking at you may think you similar to the bright pinks you slather onto your clothing, and the bubbly tone of casual conversation. We both know that's not the case. You've a mind that expresses itself in technological wonder, but don't think for a second that I don't notice what lay beneath. I know well the sorrow that guides you. It will never be my place to intervene, or even to shield you from what has been fostered within. All I can hope is that we can cushion the inevitable blow, my dear companion."

  • "Attaching the title, 'house cat' to you-- even in jest --seems terribly unwise. To be fair to ourselves, it is the description you chose, but is it not like putting a coeurl in a pantry and calling it the 'flour feline'? It's clearly a mismatch, even if the surface level ideas match; especially when you could easily trade eloquent barbs with nobility of the highest echelon. Still, if you're satisfied... So am I. Cautiously."

  • "Sleepy as you may be, you are ever our closest companion. Your presence gives us all a chance to breathe, with an aura that practically radiates a sense of home. Thematically, perhaps, it isn't odd that a maid should be the cure to the homesickness of so many, but you do it with an ease that continually surprises the both of us-- even if some of your endeavors turn out to be a little... Clumsy. You are beloved of us both."

  • "Now that I think about it, meeting you as one of my very first encounters in Ul'dah, all those years ago, feels almost... Comical. If you were a Lalafell with more money than sense, then you would have checked all the boxes necessary to make yourself a walking facsimile of the culture itself. Amusing but, I digress: Your strength is a beautiful thing. You are, perhaps, my most unlikely companion, but you're one that I value nevertheless. I hope to never see the day you lose the spark that guides you."

  • "You make it look easy. 'It' is a tough thing to define, of course; neither a social calling, nor some exceptionally natural talent when it comes to administration. No, I'm quite uncertain as to how to define it, but you embody 'it'. An indescribable, palpable 'it'. Curious how the closer I come to grasping its nature, the farther it seems to slip from my fingers, as if it turns to water and drips away, leaving nothing but faint residue. To have met you at such a vapid, empty place seems all the more appropriate in hindsight, for you swim in the muck with the rest of us, but somehow, appear all the more radiant than anyone else. If nothing else, I can say with confidence that your people appreciate you more than you know."

  • "Noble sailor; weary wanderer. For a time, all I could think of you as was that quiet, blubbering creature all lost in their own melancholy. Now, I can scarcely remember that part of you. Granted, I don't think I'll ever know how your earnest laugh sounds, but that bellowing you do instead heralds a kindness-- the people you've attracted to your side are testament to that kindness. I can only hope the root of what brought you pain has been addressed and not forgotten. It's no longer my place to worry over it."

  • "I won't call you simple, but I will call you refreshingly plain. Your circumstances are extraordinary, sure, and your actions are generally heroic, but there is something inherently comforting to someone that I can parse in seconds despite all of the weights you carry behind you. I can appreciate that in you, and I think that's why I'll always have a place beneath the boughs for you to rest your head. Though, I have this strange feeling that, perhaps, we are some of the few who get to see you as you truly are. If that's the case, I can assure you of this much: I don't take it for granted, my dear."

  • "For the love of whatever gods you hold dear, why would you ever curse yourself with -that- name? You had the choice of anything beneath the sun-and-stars, and you went ahead and chose something that immediately makes me think of a clown. You don't suit a red nose, nor comically large shoes. It -must- have some meaning to you, because I'm sure you wear that handle like an anchor to your heels-- especially given just how poorly it fits. You are a war dancer. Not a performer, not someone who wears the title with a wink, not someone who studied that particular school for a few weeks then left-- an -earnest- war dancer. You're sweet. Honest. Caring. Brave. Unimaginably strong-- the words I can apply to you I throw like darts, but I can guarantee, they attract like magnets to your person. It sure is a little uncanny to introduce you, but it's worth the twinge of oddity for a friend quite like you."

  • "There's nothing wrong with having your head in the clouds. Admittedly, I haven't fully pieced together your story; I'm not entirely sure how you came to be, and where you learned what you've learned, but I'll be the first to cede an attic to a self-described astrologian, irrespective of ability. I still don't know what you're getting out of the arrangement, or why you've come to us, but I deeply respect those brief glimpses into the nature of fate. There's a wisdom there, I've just yet to describe it."
